Research and Markets UK SIP Trunking Report Released
Researchandmarkets.com has released a report that covers the rapidly emerging SIP Trunking Market.
The report entitled ”UK SIP/IP Trunking Market Report & Forecast 2010” shows that by November 2009 the SIP trunking market was estimated to be at 98,000 trunks, with a sizeable proportion of these trunks coming larger telecoms companies, such as Verizon, providing the solutions over existing higher end data connections such as MPLS.
The report also talks about the growth in the SME sector, with customers becoming picking up on the saving and additional service benefits that SIP trunks are able to bring to existing PBX telephone systems.
The report PR also mentioned impressive figures by illume Consulting with projections that the amount of SIP trunks delivered in 2010 could hit 310,000 by the end of the year, with telephone calls and SIP line rental revenues to be in the region of 67M.
The fast growth is to be fuelled, in part, by lower cost, higher end data circuits and improvements in Ethernet services.
